PLANLÆGNINGSMETODEN

Visual overview of activity sequences and dependencies

Purpose and use

Below is an example of a Network Diagram for a typical construction phase. Activities such as structural framing, MEP rough-in, and interior finishes are placed in logical order with clear dependencies. This visual structure helps ensure that no trade starts work prematurely and that all critical handovers are accounted for.

Her viser vi dig, hvordan du nemt håndterer placeringsbaseret planlægning.

Core features

Activity overview

All scheduled tasks in the project are displayed visually.

Logical sequencing

Activities can be placed in the correct order to reflect how work should progress on-site.

Dependency links

Users can define relationships such as start-to-start, finish-to-start, and finish-to-finish.

Trade coordination

Helps identify where one trade depends on another trade, for instance, where electrical work can only begin after framing is completed.

Critical dependencies

Visualizes key links in the project that have a major impact on progress if delayed.

Integration with other views

The Network Diagram is part of Tactplan’s broader scheduling ecosystem. Changes made in this view — such as adding or modifying dependencies — are reflected in the Tactplan view and Gantt view, ensuring consistency across the plan. This makes it a helpful tool not only for initial setup but also for ongoing adjustments and coordination.

Practical applications

The Network Diagram is especially useful for planners, coordinators, and project managers who need to validate the logic behind a schedule before locking it into detailed timelines or takt-based sequences.

  • High-level planning: Use the Network Diagram to define the overall sequence before adding specific dates or locations.
  • Work breakdown validation: Verify that all necessary tasks are included and properly connected.
  • Interdisciplinary review: Collaborate across trades and teams to ensure that interfaces and handovers are clearly defined.
  • Scenario testing: Evaluate different planning strategies by modifying task sequences and observing the downstream effects.
