Location-Based Scheduling Software Courses

Courses for new and advanced users of Tactplan Schedule — hands-on training in flow planning, resource optimisation, and progress tracking.

Learn Location-Based Scheduling at one of our courses

Location-based scheduling gives construction professionals a clearer overview of their projects, making it easier to identify risks, optimise workflow, and deliver on time. By planning with locations rather than tasks alone, you can spot colliding work, idle areas, and resource imbalances before they become problems.
We offer two courses in location-based scheduling with Tactplan: One for new users and one for advanced users. Both courses combine instructor-led teaching with hands-on exercises, giving you the practical skills to plan, optimise, and track construction projects using location-based methods.

Level 1 – New Users

Introduction to location-based scheduling
6–7 participants – 1 day.

Location-based scheduling gives you visibility into risks that a bar chart (Gantt) simply cannot show.
  • Are there areas on the construction site with colliding trades?
  • Is staffing evenly distributed and is there a steady flow of work?
  • Are there areas standing idle?
The course combines instructor-led presentations with hands-on exercises.

You will learn how to:
  • Apply location-based scheduling in construction projects
  • Set up new projects in Tactplan
  • Work with quantity and resource-driven schedules
  • Analyse resource consumption in your schedule
  • Track and manage progress in construction projects (introduction)
Price: DKK 4.295,-

Level 2 – Advanced Users

Advanced training in Location-based scheduling
6–7 participants – 1 day.

At this level, the focus shifts to keeping your schedule continuously aligned with production — handling changes quickly while maintaining a clear overview.
  • Is the work progressing in the planned sequence?
  • Are there risks of delays or bottlenecks?
  • Is staffing distributed optimally across locations?
Once you have completed a risk analysis of the factors that may affect the construction process, you can quickly adjust for any shortcomings and in many cases optimise your schedule further.

You will learn how to:
  • Follow up on your schedule — production management
  • Optimise your schedule with staffing
  • Analyse risks, resource consumption and cash flow
  • Track and report progress for the client
  • Quantity- and resource-driven schedules
  • Import quantity data into Tactplan
  • Integrate with project cost management
Price: DKK 4.295,-

A well-run construction site starts with a clear plan

With location-based scheduling, every tradesperson knows exactly where they need to be and what tasks they need to complete.
The result is a calmer, more predictable workday - steady progress, no wasted time, and better teamwork across the site - setting the foundation for reliable project delivery.
