Location-based scheduling gives construction professionals a clearer overview of their projects, making it easier to identify risks, optimise workflow, and deliver on time. By planning with locations rather than tasks alone, you can spot colliding work, idle areas, and resource imbalances before they become problems.
Choose between a course for new Tactplan users or advanced Tactplan users. You are also welcome to participate in both.
Also choose between Aarhus or Copenhagen.

Both courses are in Danish and combine instructor-led teaching with hands-on exercises, giving you the practical skills.

Introduction to locations-based scheduling

Level 1 - New Tactplan users
10 - 12 participants – 1 day

Location-based scheduling gives you an overview of risks that a bar chart (Gantt) cannot reveal. That way, you avoid unpleasant surprises in your construction process.
  • Are there areas on the construction site with colliding trades?
  • Is staffing evenly distributed and is there a steady flow of work?
  • Are there areas standing idle?
When you have a clear overview of where the challenges are, optimising your schedule becomes straightforward. You can easily save 10% of the execution time once you have identified the gaps in your schedule.

You will learn how to:
  • Apply location-based scheduling in construction projects
  • Set up new projects in Tactplan
  • Work with quantity and resource-driven schedules
  • Analyse resource consumption in your schedule
  • Track and manage progress in construction projects

Advanced course in locations-based scheduling

Level 2 - Advanced Tactplan users
10 - 12 participants – 1 day

At this level, the focus shifts to keeping your schedule continuously aligned with production — handling changes quickly while maintaining a clear overview.
  • Is the work progressing in the planned sequence?
  • Are there risks of delays or bottlenecks?
  • Is staffing distributed optimally across locations?
Once you have completed a risk analysis of the factors that may affect the construction process, you can quickly adjust for any shortcomings and in many cases optimise your schedule further.

You will learn how to:
  • Analyse risks, flow and cash flow
  • Optimise your schedule
  • Follow up on your schedule - production management
  • Import quantity data into Tactplan
You will get an introduction to:
  • Linking the schedule with economics
  • Applying quantity- and resource-driven schedules
